Fundraising Campaign
Since 1965 United Way of Central Alberta has raised and invested more than $30 million into local communities, agencies and programs. These investments have changed lives. Today, we are well positioned and able to continue to bring positive, sustainable change to our community.
Our vision is to help those who need it the most, those who are often living in poverty, or have little or no supports. Imagine finding out your mother’s memory loss is actually a result of Alzheimer’s, or that your niece has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia, or your best friend needs marital counseling but cannot afford to go. These life-altering situations happen each and every day, and thanks to your support of United Way, agencies can provide services, outreach and assistance right here in Central Alberta.
As successful as we continue to be, we are very much aware that our region is growing at a faster pace than ever before, that resources are stretched thinner, and that the demands on everyone’s time is increasing. We need everyone in the community to respond to the ever growing need. The time to consider making a difference in the lives of someone is now.
Imagine the impact your gift could make.
A Message from the 2013 United Way Campaign Co-Chairs
United Way plays an integral part in our community’s health and has a strong reputation for being a cost effective way to invest in the community. Not only does United Way provide financial support to programs and services in Central Alberta, but they’re also working with community leaders to find long-term solutions to social issues.
We, along with the rest of the Campaign team, realize that the need in the community continues to grow each year, therefore to provide meaningful support, we need this year’s Campaign to be successful we need help to do that. We are asking people to do the same thing that we’ve committed to, which is engage our fellow community members and local businesses in supporting United Way and the programs and services that support those in need in Central Alberta.
Change starts with each one of us and together we can create lasting change in our community.
