Leaders at Work
Support of United Way in the workplace is a foundational reason why our fundraising model is so cost effective. It is also an excellent way for companies to demonstrate their corporate social responsibility in the community, and to their employees. By adding a Leadership component, or matching employee donations, gifts are further leveraged and community outcomes magnified.
- Workplace partners and their employees contributed over 82% of the funds raised in the 2009 campaign.
- Moreover, 28% of these funds were gifts from leadership donors.
We applaud all organizations that make it easy for their employees to contribute to the community through United Way, both through payroll deductions and through corporate volunteering programs.
We are proud to recognize the following organizations which had five or more leadership donors in 2009.
