Winter Coat Donations Collected at UWCA for Local Agencies
United Way Central Alberta (UWCA) is inviting individuals, families, and local businesses to participate in our winter 2025/2026 Coats for Communities campaign. With cold weather approaching, this initiative aims to provide warmth to those in need by collecting new and gently used winter coats.
What We Are Collecting:
This year, we are focused on collecting coats only for local agencies. If you have extra coats, now is the time to donate and make a difference. While we are accepting coats only, coats and other cold-weather clothing items, such as gloves, toques, snow pants, and more, can be donated directly to agencies across our communities, including John Howard Society, Safe Harbour Society, Dress for Success, Mission Thrift Store and many more.
Where to Donate Coats:
Donations can be dropped off at the United Way Central Alberta (UWCA) office during regular business hours:
- Address: #100, 4828 53 St, Red Deer, AB T4N 2E8
- Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Please note that our office will be closed from December 25, 2025, to January 2, 2026.
Who Benefits:
All donated coats will be distributed to local agencies that support individuals and families across Central Alberta who are facing increased needs during the colder months.
Make an Impact:
The Coats for Communities campaign is a great way to clear out your coat closet while helping to make a positive difference in our community. Businesses and organizations are also encouraged to participate by organizing workplace coat drives.
