Current Volunteer Opportunities

Community Impact Council Member

The Community Impact Council (Council) is a permanent UWCA committee that reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Members of Council are a diverse representation of the community who are responsible for setting the community impact priorities and granting processes, and then deciding on how to invest donor dollars in programs that align with these priorities and deliver significant impact in the Central Alberta community.

We welcome candidates of all genders, races, ages, and abilities to apply and we are committed to embracing Indigenous voices.

No organization is better equipped than United Way to connect volunteers to the needs in our communities.

Whether you represent a company looking for unique and rewarding team-building activities and you want a great fit for your social responsibility platform or you’re an individual desiring to make a difference, United Way has something special in store.

We rely on the generosity of volunteers to help us run events, coordinate workplace campaigns, and serve on our Board, Community Impact Teams, as well as Affinity Groups.

United Way Central Alberta is a volunteer driven organization. From our Board of Directors who sets the direction for the organization to our operational committees who work to engage donors, allocate funds and increase awareness around social issues, we could not do what we do without our volunteers.

No matter how much time you are able to give, we have opportunities for all to get involved.
