Celebrating Incredible Year as Bower Place’s Charity of Choice

United Way Central Alberta (UWCA) expresses its deep gratitude for an incredible year of dedicated fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement as Bower Place Shopping Centre’s 2024 Charity of Choice. Thanks to the generosity of Bower Place’s patrons, staff, volunteers, and community members, an impressive $29,000 was raised to support vital local programs and initiatives.

“We are incredibly grateful to Bower Place for their unwavering support and to every individual who contributed to making last year’s partnership such a success,” said Chelsea O’Donoghue, United Way Central Alberta CEO. “This collaboration shows what’s possible when a community comes together to address local needs.”

The funds were raised through several community-focused events organized by Bower Place, including the Westerner Days Pancake Breakfast, Charity Shopping Night, and the Gift-Wrapping Station. These events not only brought the community together in meaningful ways but also directly supported UWCA’s work in addressing Basic Needs, expanding access to Mental Health services, and fostering Brighter Futures for individuals and families across Central Alberta.

“We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our new and dedicated volunteers who offered their time and energy to making each of these events such a success,” said O’Donoghue. “Together, with the generous support from individuals, organizations, and businesses like Bower Place, we’re strengthening vital connections that support people in need across Central Alberta.”
