Sockey Day In Red Deer 2026

We’re excited to announce the return of Sockey Day in Red Deer in partnership with the Red Deer Rebels on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Marchant Crane Centrium as they take on the Lethbridge Hurricanes!

This fun family event brings our community together to collect warm socks for individuals and families in need across Central Alberta.

How it Works

STEP #1 – Get your Rebels tickets to the Family-Day Home Game!

STEP #2 – Bring socks to the game or pickup a free pair provided by our community partners at the door.

STEP #3 – Hold onto your socks until the second intermission! Once the announcer gives the signal, throw your socks on the ice.

STEP #4 – Tossed socks are picked up off the ice by United Way volunteers. This year we’re shooting to collect 6,000 pairs of socks!

STEP #5 – Socks are distributed to individuals and families in need across Central Alberta through incredible partner agencies.
